How to hide certain rewards tabs based on office location, department, or custom properties

  • If you need to hide gift cards, swag, or other rewards tabs from certain offices, follow the steps below.

  • First you'll need to make sure each of your employees is assigned to an office location or whichever property you are wanting to filter by. If you need to create a Custom Property, follow this tutorial first.

  • You can use the bulk upload function to add these properties (tutorial on bulk upload), use Bulk Actions or you can on an update the property individually by clicking on the user's profile.

  • After all your employees have the property attached to their profile, you will go to the Manage Rewards > Reward Settings > Edit Reward Display Settings.

  • Choose the Reward type you are wanting to filter by:

  • For each Reward type, you can create certain rules on what users can view that reward option.

  • You will select + Add Segment and select if you want the rules to be if the users match ANY or ALL of the segments that you set up.

  • Then, you will select + Add Filter within the Segment box and set up a rule.

  • For the rule you will select:

    • The Property Type you are wanting to filter for.

    • IS or IS NOT for your filter type.

    • And the Value Selection in the user profiles.

  • You can add multiple filters within a Segment and also add additional segments for each Reward type.

  • Once you have added your filters, click the Save Settings button in the top right corner to apply your changes.

PLEASE NOTE: If you have a user in your system that does not have the property value filled out that you are filtering for, they will be able to see the reward options that would apply.
