How do I use Nectar?

This article explains how to use your Nectar account to recognize peers, redeem rewards, and more. Scroll to the bottom for a video tutorial if you prefer to watch instead.

🌟 Important: Some features in this guide may look different in your account. That’s because many parts of Nectar are customizable by your company.


What can I do in Nectar?

With your Nectar account, you can:

  • Send shoutouts to coworkers

  • Engage on the social feed (add points, comments, emojis, or GIFs)

  • Redeem points for rewards

  • Claim challenges

  • Nominate peers for awards

  • Browse discounts (U.S. only)

  • Adjust your profile settings


How do I log in?

  1. You’ll receive an email invite from your company to create your account.

  2. Click the link in the email or go to app.nectarhr.com/login.

  3. Enter your email. Depending on your setup, you’ll either:

    • Create a password, or

    • Be redirected to sign in via your company’s Single Sign-On (SSO) provider.

Note: Nectar is invite-only. You must be invited by your company to access your account.

Tip: You can reset your password anytime from the login page.


What is the Home Feed and how do I send a Shoutout?

What is a shoutout?

A shoutout lets you recognize coworkers for their contributions. You’ll:

  • Select a teammate (@)

  • Choose a point amount (+)

  • Tag a core value (#)

  • Write a message of appreciation

How do I send a shoutout?

  1. From the Home Feed, click the Shoutout button.

  2. Fill in the required fields and send your message.

What can I do on the Home Feed?

  • See shoutouts from across your company

  • View birthdays and work anniversaries

  • React with comments, points, emojis, or GIFs

How do rewards work?

Nectar offers rewards like:

  • Gift cards

  • Amazon products

  • Custom company swag

To redeem:

  1. Go to the Rewards section.

  2. Select a reward and redeem your available points.

Note: Some rewards may not appear if they aren’t part of your company’s plan.

How do I complete Challenges?

Challenges help you earn points for completing tasks.

  1. Go to the Challenges tab in your account.

  2. Claim available challenges.

  3. Complete the task (some may need admin approval).

All challenges are customized by your company admins.

How do Nominations work?

Nominations allow you to recognize coworkers for awards.

  • Your admins will open nomination periods.

  • You can then submit someone for consideration.

How do I use Nectar Discounts?

Nectar Discounts give you access to exclusive deals on attractions and products.

  • Available to U.S.-based users only

  • Discounts are separate from Nectar Points

How do I update my profile settings?

Your profile includes several customizable settings.

  • Visit the Profile Settings section to make updates

  • If you can’t edit something, your company admin may need to update it for you

Tip: Reach out to your admin if you're unable to make changes on your own in your profile.
