When a user submits for a challenge, all listed approvers on the Challenge will be notified via email that there is a pending claim.
Email subject: Action required: Challenge Claim Pending
Go to Nectar, and navigate to Manage Awards > Challenges and you will see the Pending Challenge Claims.
*Depending on your permissions, your steps may look a little different. Here is how it will look.
With each Challenge Claim, it will list the:
Name of the user
Date submitted
Challenge name
Status of the claim
Details submitted by the user
By clicking the Show Details on the claim, it will provide what description and/or image were submitted for the claim.
You will then click the Approve button, it will give the points associated with the Challenge to the user and notify them via email (depending on their personal notification preferences). This action cannot be reversed.
If you click Deny on the claim, a pop up will show where you will input the reason for denying. This information will be sent to the user. This action cannot be reversed.- When a challenge is approved or denied, the user will receive both an email notification and a notification directly within Nectar.
If there are any quantity limits for the Challenge it will also reset for this user to re-submit. If a challenge has been accidentally approved, you can delete the shoutout related to the approved challenge from the home page and request the user to re-submit the challenge for proper approval.
β Please Note: If you are seeing the Awaiting Manager message to the right on Challenge claims, that means you are not listed as an approver on the challenge. You can update this by navigating to Admin > Manage Awards, selecting the relevant challenge in the "Challenges" section, and entering the new approver's username in the "Manually Approve Challenge Claims" field. Click Save to finalize.
*Non-Admin view:
If you are not an Admin in Nectar, you can still be listed as an approver for Challenges. Because of this, your view will look a little different.
On the left hand bar inside of Nectar, you will see an Approvals section and an option for Challenges.
Clicking on that button will take you to the Challenge Claims section.
The biggest difference is you will only see claims and claim history for Challenge claims where you are listed as an approver.
The rest of the approval/denial process will be the same!
