How to install Nectar's Microsoft Teams app to send recognition straight from Teams

💡 As an admin of Nectar and Microsoft Teams you can add and pin apps to your Microsoft Teams platform. This article will walk you through how to both add and pin the Nectar app within your Microsoft Teams.

❗️The only supported version of the Nectar Teams app is on the normal paid version of Microsoft Teams

How to ADD Nectar app: (images provided below)

  1. Sign in to Teams admin center and access Teams apps > Setup policies

  2. Select Add.

  3. Provide a name and description for the policy.

  4. Under Installed apps, select Add apps.

  5. In the Add installed apps pane, search Nectar.

  6. Select Add.


How to PIN Nectar app to sidebar:

  1. Sign in to Teams admin center and access Teams apps > Setup policies.

  2. Select Add.

  3. Enter a name and description for the policy.

  4. Optionally, turn on User pinning to allow users to pin apps and change the order of the pinned apps.

  5. Under Pinned apps, select Add apps.

  6. In the Add pinned apps pane, search for the apps you want to add, and then select Add.

  7. Select Add.

  8. Under the App bar or Messaging extensions, arrange the apps in the order that you want the apps to appear in Teams client.

  9. Select Save.


User Experience

Once installing the Microsoft Teams integration for Nectar, it will look like the desktop version of Nectar inside your Teams window.

You can can do everything they would normally be doing on the Nectar website or mobile app:

- send shoutouts

- complete challenges

- redeem rewards

- view team + manager analytics

- see core values/mission statement

- etc
