๐ก As an admin of Nectar and Microsoft Teams you can add and pin apps to your Microsoft Teams platform. This article will walk you through how to both add and pin the Nectar app within your Microsoft Teams.
Please note:
โTo add the Teams Integration the person must have a valid Nectar account. If the email associated with their Nectar account is different than the one being used in Teams, they will need to link that email to their Nectar account by going to account > personal information. Find the "Teams Email" field, add the email with their teams account and click save.
โ๏ธThe only supported version of the Nectar Teams app is on the normal paid version of Microsoft Teams
How to ADD Nectar app: (images provided below)
๐ This allows you to access Nectar through the Microsoft Teams app. You will see it like the desktop version of Nectar and be able to do everything that you would be through the desktop version.
Sign in to Teams admin center and access Teams apps > Setup policies
Select Add.
Provide a name and description for the policy.
Under Installed apps, select Add apps.
In the Add installed apps pane, search Nectar.
Select Add.
How to add the additional BOT feature:
๐ This portion allows you to see all shoutouts being sent through Nectar
Please note: you are not able to send shoutouts through this feature.
Go to Teams > Apps > and search for Nectar > click on the Nectar tile:
Click โAddโ and then you should see a screen where you can choose the channel for installation:
You will then get a DM from the Nectar bot instructing you to finish setup in your Nectar account:
The last step should be adding the channel directly in Nectar. Under Workspace Settings > Integrations > Teams Integrations, choose the correct Teams channel from the drop down:
How to PIN Nectar app to sidebar:
Sign in to Teams admin center and access Teams apps > Setup policies.
Select Add.
Enter a name and description for the policy.
Optionally, turn on User pinning to allow users to pin apps and change the order of the pinned apps.
Under Pinned apps, select Add apps.
In the Add pinned apps pane, search for the apps you want to add, and then select Add.
Select Add.
Under the App bar or Messaging extensions, arrange the apps in the order that you want the apps to appear in Teams client.
Select Save.
