The Birthday Award will automatically give a birthday shoutout and reward to your teammates on their birthday. This is a great way to make sure they're celebrated on their special day. The award will appear in the social feed, which allows the rest of your team to add on to the shoutout if they would like.
The points for the Birthday Award come directly from the company, and not an individual user’s allowance balance.
Before you configure and customize the Birthday Award, you'll want to make sure that your users have birthday information in their profile in the Users tab.
Customizing the Birthday Award
The automated Birthday Award is pre-programmed with a message and bonus amount. You can make adjustments to the Birthday Award on the Manage Awards > Automated page.
To edit the message or amount of your Birthday Award, click the pencil icon on the right:
A pop-up will appear that allows you to edit the award amount, message, and whether it is publicly visible. The keywords @receiver_username and +amount are required in the message. Click the 'Save' button when finished changing the settings for the award:
Turning the Birthday Award on or off
The Birthday Award is off by default. To turn on the Birthday Award, click the switch to green:

How do I add my teammates' birthday dates?
There are 3 ways to add their birthday dates:
If you're using an HRIS integration for your user management, the system will automatically pull the information over for you.
You can add everyone's birthday information by including it in a CSV file and use our bulk upload feature.
You can manually add a user's birthday information by finding their name in the Users tab and selecting the pencil icon on the right. Scroll in their profile to find the Birth Date field and type in their birthday information. Make sure it is in the format DD-Mon (06-Jun). Press the 'Save' button.
What time do the automated birthday awards get sent out?
The automated birthday awards will be sent out around 3 am MST.
