What is Clara™?
Clara™ is an admin-only analytics and setup assistant inside Nectar.
She allows Workspace Admins to ask questions about Nectar usage data in plain language and get answers as tables, charts, and insights that may not exist in standard dashboards.
Clara™ can also help you create and configure Challenges and Custom Awards directly in your workspace.
Who can use Clara™?
Clara™ is available only to Workspace Admins.
Non-admin users will not see Clara™
All data returned follows admin-level permissions
If you’re not an admin, Clara™ will not appear in your workspace.
How do I use Clara™?
To get started:
Open Clara™ from your admin workspace in the top right corner
Ask a question in plain language
“How many users received shoutouts this quarter?”
Refine your results with follow-ups
“Break that down by department.”
“Now show that as a bar chart.”
“Turn this into a Challenge idea.”
How does Clara™ help with usage analytics and insights?
Clara™ answers questions about how your team is actually using Nectar.
You can ask for:
Counts and totals
Trends over time
Comparisons between time periods
Breakdowns by department, location, or month
Example questions you can ask:
“How many users received shoutouts this quarter?”
“What percentage of users sent at least one shoutout this quarter?”
“Compare shoutouts sent this quarter vs last quarter.”
“Which departments had the most recognitions in January?”
Can Clara™ create custom charts and tables?
Yes. Clara™ can generate custom charts and tables, even if they don’t currently exist in the Nectar UI.
You can request:
Line charts
Bar charts
Stacked bar charts
Tables
Example requests:
“Show a line chart of monthly active users for the last 12 months.”
“Create a bar chart of shoutouts sent by department this quarter.”
“Break down reward redemptions by category as a table.”
“Show a stacked bar chart of recognitions by location by month.”
Tip: If you care about the format, say it (for example: line chart, bar chart, or table).
Can Clara™ help me create Challenges?
Yes. Clara™ can help you design and create Challenges in your workspace.
She can:
Suggest Challenge ideas based on your goals
Help define rules, timelines, and point values
Create the Challenge after you confirm the details
Example prompts:
“Help me create a Challenge to encourage peer recognition this month.”
“Create a Challenge for managers to send at least 3 shoutouts this quarter.”
“What’s a good Challenge idea to boost engagement for remote teams?”
Can Clara™ help me create Custom Awards?
Yes. Clara™ can guide you through creating Custom Awards, from idea to setup.
She can:
Suggest award names and descriptions
Help define point values and eligibility
Create the Custom Award after confirmation
Example prompts:
“Help me create a Custom Award for cross-team collaboration.”
“Create a quarterly leadership award worth 500 points.”
“What are some good Custom Award ideas for managers?”
Note: Clara™ will always ask for confirmation before creating or changing anything.
How can I get better results from Clara™?
Clear questions lead to better answers.
Best practices:
Include a timeframe
“this month,” “last quarter,” “last 90 days”
Ask for the output you want
chart, table, breakdown, comparison
Example improvement:
Instead of: “Shoutouts stats”
Try: “How many users sent a shoutout this quarter, broken down by department, as a bar chart.”
When can’t Clara™ help?
Clara™ may not be able to answer if:
The data isn’t tracked in Nectar
The request is related to billing
The timeframe or filters are unclear
What should I do if I need more help?
If something looks incorrect or you hit a limit:
Confirm you’re a Workspace Admin
Check your plan limits (Plus vs Premium)
Contact Nectar Support for availability questions

Clara™ usage depends on your Nectar plan.
Plus plan: 10 questions per month
Premium plan: Unlimited questions
Each prompt counts as one question. Follow-up questions count as additional questions.
Note: Clara™ is continually improving, with new metrics, smarter insights, and expanded creation capabilities added over time.
