What they are
When you open the shoutout composer on your home feed, Manager Coach shows up to three cards below it. Each names someone on your team and gives one line on why now might be a good time to recognize them. Pick a card and that person becomes the recipient; you write the message. Suggestions never write the shoutout for you.
Who sees them
Managers only, at companies with Nectar AI enabled. Suggestions cover your direct reports and their teams, including anyone you added as a report manually in Nectar.
How to use them
Open the shoutout composer.
Read the cards. Click Refresh for a different set.
Click a card. That person is added as the recipient and an Insights about [name] panel appears, showing what they tend to be recognized for, what they value, and how long they've been with the company.
Write your shoutout and send.
Close the suggestion to remove the person. Anything you've already typed stays. If there isn't enough recent activity for three suggestions, you'll see fewer or none; the composer works the same either way.
How people are chosen
Cards favor people who haven't been recognized recently and people with something recent worth calling out, and they spread recognition across your whole team rather than the same few names.
Frequently Asked Questions about AI Suggestions
Does the person know they were suggested?
No. Suggestions and the Insights panel are visible only to you.
Can I turn them off?
They appear automatically for managers. Your admin can turn off Nectar AI for the whole workspace.
