Your domain name must be verified in Settings or else any email communications sent will be from the email [email protected].

  • To verify your domain, go to Settings and click Add Custom Domain

  • Then you will in put your:

    • DNS Host: Your DNS Host is often (but not always) the same place you host your website.

    • and your From Domain: For example, the domain from ‘[email protected]’ would be ‘example.com’.

  • Then click Continue.

Install DNS Records

The next step will give you the needed information to install the following records within your DNS Host to complete adding your custom domain.

  • Navigate to the DNS record section of your domain host.

  • Add the TXT or CNAME entry to your DNS record.

  • Add @ to the Host field (if it is required by your domain host).

  • Once you input that information in your DNS, navigate back to Nectar.

  • Click the checkbox I have installed the records below and then select Verify DNS Records.

  • Go back to your domain host. Once the changes have applied across your domain's web servers, click the Verify button at the bottom of the DNS Verification tab for the selected domain.

    • Note: Typically, this change takes only minutes to occur, however there are cases where it may take up to 72 hours to complete. Leave the TXT or CNAME entry in your DNS record as it may be checked periodically for verification purposes.

The precise steps you need to perform to add a DNS TXT or CNAME entry to your DNS record may vary by domain host.
